It took 3 days to get What the...? On my PS4 but close to 3 weeks on my Xbox . I let the game run unattended over night or while at work. Some time I repaired the city, some times I exited without saving and restarted. Only once did the city go bankrupt when I let it run 24 hrs straight. Be sure to have the day/night cycle on to get the 1001 night achievement if you need it.
I went for the 30,000 squares of industrial built. Ended up with 200,000 + population with no university. Then Campus went on sale on PlayStation so I leveled up all 3 at once.
