You really dont even need medium tanks in 1939 vs the ai West. As @Secret Master said, as long as you have air superiority you are gold. I actually prefer light armor for France, the speed is better. And rushing to Paris is the objective of the campaign. The key is grabbing control of the air and for that everything flys, even the old HE-51s.

MP is a completely different subject of course, but the OP was talking vs the ai.
Uh, I'm not claiming my way is the only. I just laid out a suggested course for OP to follow. Yes against the AI I actually agree light tanks are better because they can zip right through

Make sure your planning bonus is good and your CAS is stacked in BeNeLux. Take Lux and Holland first before a DoW on Belgium. Then follow Manstein's plan.

Let the ai move up into Belgium, then smash through Sedan and over the Meuse using Force Attack with your armor. Cut off everything up north while you race for Paris. France will collapse and then it is just a matter of grabbing the ports before the ai can escape.
I used to do something similar to this. Don't you think delaying the DOW on Belgium is a bit scammy for the AI? I recall MP games requiring Germany declare on the Benelux simultaneously

Yeah but as i said i did may the wrong prior. I have already Netherlands. But i am in a medium fight in India Pakistan as Australie is almost mine.

But France , belgium in UK are still out produce me with there units. Maybe i used all my recources wrong, I have 1 Graf Zepplin , eating there convoys around Singapore. But they are too swiming in convoys before they can nothing produce anymore. I think i can win India too, they are half way for capture but Belgium and France are strong. To defend i goes but attacking is someting else

Tiger and Panzer are not strong engouh which i had expected. Also all my division are maye after 1 attack less then half there strength or 1/3 and the Enemy has all full.

Not really. Historically the campaign in Holland was over so quick as to be meaningless. The Germans overran the east and were wheeling into Belgium within 24 hours. It was all over by day 4 when Rotterdam was bombed.

I don't have any problem issuing DoWs piecemeal in regards to BeneLux, especially since the HOI4 Dutch and Belgium armies are far more powerful than their real life armies ever dreamed of being.

Distinct battle plans are best. One giant mess won't get you far.

They require so much updating and are so prone to putting units in idiotic places that you're still better off using them to set up, deleting them, and micromanaging.

The dishonest change to rapidly remove planning bonus when ordering troops manually can be bypassed by spamming spearhead orders on the units you actually use to attack, and with the 400% planning speed option you can make good use of it offensively.

Also since most other things were nerfed and air power wasn't CAS is incredibly strong this patch, especially since the AI sucks at contesting it.

My strategy is to start in the North and blitz along the coast.

1. Position tanks and motorized in the northernmost province of the Dutch border. Declare war only on the Netherlands, attack along the entire front with conventional forces and use light armour and motorized to head west and take Amsterdam and the entire coastline. It's a very quick campaign.

2. Place tanks and infantry on the northern Belgian border, tanks and mot. nearest the coast. Declare war on Belgium, blitz down the coast with LT and motorized into France. Head for Paris, then from Paris for Brest. It works every time for me.

Speed is of the essence here, hence LT and mot. The Belgians don't know what hit them, and the French are wholly taken by surprise, and your light tanks and mot. can quickly outrun their infantry. I never attack Belgium in the west or south-west, it turns into a slugfest and they get reinforced quite quickly by France.

First 1 agreed that ingame the belgium army is much stronger. May be i did help my self to take the netherlands and the west Indies in early 1937 so I can never do a blitz inGame Okt 1940 I can do a bit of blitz in Australie / is almost mine and maybe i survive India and Pakistan front too. I can sing it for a while with the ships from Austraulie and the little dockyard until there resitance will bomb them to pieces.

Does some one can tell me there strength of a up to date Belgium and france army, 16 dev of invantary, I only can punch them half with the tiger. Again as aspected i had old fighter and junker 450 fighter and 340 junkers, in 2 month France and the britsh have air superiority. or must i forget after India and pakistan i must build up first a army and IC to out produce UK and France together?

You are so far outside of historical play it is hard to give advice. The Allies have obviously been fighting for some time so there strengths could be anything. The only advice I can give is get at least fighter tech up to date, boost engines to 5 to max speed and agility, and get air superiority where you are fighting.

Something I don't hear people use much but that can be rather effective are infantry divisions equipped with alot of artillery. Instead of spreading your artillery out with 7-2 or 14-4 test out divisions with more artillery and less infantry such as 4-4 or 8-8.

A few of these divisions on offensive command should prove rather effective (yes costly but remember speed often save casulties in the long run).

Use tanks and motorised to quickly advance into France. Paratroopers may prove valuable for Quick advances.

Paratroopers would be nice, requires airsupriority and it are elite troops now a theys to costly if you need marines and mountain groups.
Yes but they should have gotten a buff with command Powers allowing them to hold ground for a very long time. Also transport plane are a Little more useful now if you need extra supplies somewhere.

you are right but i do not own walking tiger to pay 19 euro for airborne supplies. For me it is montly a lot of money.
