How do we review old log msgs?

Is it possible to review old log msgs or completed special missions (as in CK2 and EU4)?

Is there a history window/tab that I have missed?

Anyone found a way to review the previous msgs or completed special missions... it would also be nice to see the history of the Empire rulers

Yeah I had a planet with a Bronze Age civ on it, but no mission attached. Now I don't know what planet that was and if I was supposed to do anything with it. So now they are stuck in the Bronze Age and I can't help them.

I wish there was a suggestions forum... not being able to review old msgs, Situation Reports and diplomatic communications is as crazy as not having different Map Modes... hopefully both will be address in a not to distant, upcoming patch

There is one. You just have to register your game to see it.

This is one of the things Paradox for inexplicable reasons has not put into the game. If it was a conscious decision and not the result of time/resource shortage, I can't for the life of me understand the reasoning.

I too am absolutely baffled why they left it... I really hope is was just a time crunch... I have no real clue as to what is happening in my Empire from one hour to the next... I sorta expected something similar to CK2 to see the lineage (history of) leaders and scientists.... further once the game gets rolling it is quite easy to get hit with 4 or 5 very important situations to deal with... as of now if you close a window... poof it is gone forever... and as I said in the post above I am old and do not remember as I did back in the 80's

There should be an old messages log. There should ALSO be a list of all known items in the game. Neutral planets, owned planets, resource locations, anomolies, colonizable planets...all in one location, with sort and filtering ability. Make it easy to find stuff.

I believe those, as well as the absence of a message log and ledger, is due to Paradox wanting the game to be more accessible. I suppose a way around it would be an option in the gameplay menu to toggle advanced information on or off.
