This is my first steam game. When the game loads up I see the panel on the right that says "Steam Workshop" and it has a bunch of cool mods listed below. It seems like I am supposed to be able to click on them. But when I do click on them they flash and it looks like I clicked on them but nothing happens... Am I doing something wrong?
How do I use mods?

You may have disabled steam overlay for C:S.
In the steam library, rightklick Cities:Skylines and hit properties. In the general tab, check if "enable steam overlay while in-game" is activated.

Oh yeah actually i had to disable it because it wasn't letting me access the game. not sure if it's a mac problem or not... 
You can always go directly to the mods list in the Workshop section of the Steam client itself (at least that works on the PC). There's a button called "Browse the Workshop" and from there you install the mod you want by clicking on a little green box with the plus sign. The content will be downloaded and next time you load up the game will be active there.
