How do I turn off the core glow without debugtooltip?

I need this off as the brightness gives me a headache very quickly. Paradox have known about the crash issue for MONTHS but have thus not fixed the issue. I do not understand why you would not bother to fix a game breaking issue for a feature that is used thousands of times every day. Another thing they have not bothered to fix is that it is impossible to steal a relic from a conquered empire due to a very tiny flaw in the event. One that was reported a year ago. All you need is for someone take 30 seconds to change "prev" to "from".

Is there a way I can turn off this god awful 20 trillion candle power spotlight in my face every time I open the galaxy map? Surely there is an art asset that I can rename to get rid of it? I would actually like to play again without having to wait potentially months for you to get off your backsides and fix the issue.

Thanks.

That's what I said  It was just the quickest one I could find that was halfway up to date. You can search the workshop yourself to see if others still work. Graphical mods aren't usually a big deal

 There are no graphical mods that do I want I need, hence me asking here.

Edit: Instead of "rEsPeCtFuLlY dIsAgReEiNG" how about you link a mod that ONLY darkens the core without doing anything else and is up to date and compatible with 3.1.

What if you make the mod you need yourself?
You could even take "inspiration" (ctrl+C, ctrl+V) from the one that makes too much changes to your taste.

There are no graphical mods that do I want I need,
That's not true. There have been many such mods over the years. This one only changes the core and does nothing else:

Lots of other mods change the whole galaxy texture to give it a different overall appearance. For example adding different colors or making the arms more pronounced. Older ones that also change the hyperlane colors may not work with the new hyperlance opacity slider. This one for example was updated:

That's just an example. There are older texture mods that still work. The above Dimmer core - optionally together with "Neutral Galaxy Texture" or "Purple Galaxy Texture" by the same author - for example. As long as they only swap something they don't need an update.
Instead of acting like that you could have simply searched the workshop yourself. It would have taken two minutes at most to see that you're wrong.

There is also a lot of completely unrelated whining about other stuff in that post. The galactic core has always been extremely bright. Hence those mods. That was an artistic choice and doesn't have anything to do with whatever unrelated issues might have been introduced since then. So you can wait for eternity until they "fix" it

the mod says its for 2.3 but it doesnt matter nothing in the galaxy background has changed since then and i still use it without a problem
Ohhh. That might actually work. I will have a look after work today. I had a search on the mod list, but seeing as the mod db is a complete dog's breakfast with no way to filter by version, if makes it very difficult to wade through the hundred thousand or so outdated mods.

That's the one I use. The core is so bright, that before I found this mod I would restart the game every time I spawned near the core, so I wouldn't get a headache when looking at the map.
