How do I train my divisions further than "Trained"?

How do I train my divisions further than "Trained"? They are always stuck in trained with +%25 bonus but I want to get Seasoned or Veteran. They don't train anymore after level 3 trained and neither they get more experience from battles. They are just stuck in trained.

Well when I play as Germany, I noticed that when I send some units on level 3 trained to the Spanish civil war, they get more experienced with the more Battles the fight. And once it’s over, they are veterans.
I also tried to train them pass trained level but the only way they can get better is though battles.

You have to let them fight in situations where they are not taking large losses. They gain exp from battles, but lose it when taking fresh recruits to replace casualties.

Some ways to Maximize exp gains:

- Defend. Infantry get big bonuses for being the defender in battle, and take far few casualties.
- If attacking, outnumber the defender, and attack on good terrain.
- Add field hospital support unit.

Have them defend in mountains against chinese troops.
