So, started as Provence and had since won France and Italy and Armenia (from the fatamids), picked up a weak claim on the Byz from my mother and there happened to be a female emperor... jackpot I figured. I easily won the claim war since the byz had been beaten up by muslim attacks and a CA war. My problem is that The ex empress was left with a ton of territory and shes now my vassal. She has 12 provinces in her demense and an additional 5 counts under her and 2 duchy titles. I couldnt revoke her duchies because of the ceasefire and she also formed a kingdom. After ceasefire expired I revoked the duchies but that did nothing by that point (obviously). Now she has married the king of Hungry and it looks like her lands will be inherited out of my empire...

To make matters worse the territory she owns is annoyingly ALL OVER THE PLACE, shes been -100 opinion for about 12 years yet she never plots anything (ive been just begging for an excuse to imprison her) even when her and the other few strong greek Dukes start a faction they are never able to get it above the high teens and my occtian lords in France Italy and Armenia seem to want to have no part in her faction plots to restore her to the throne...

I'm fairly certain I wouldnt get claims on the land shes going to inherit away and I desperately want to distribute her lands in a normal fashion (she has land in 7 different duchies). The smaller greek dukes have been coming around and Ive slowly but surely been making their heirs occtian... but this super duchess/queen is quite a pain.

also... whats with the AI keeping a demense of 12 while only having 4 stewardship???

any help that doesent leave me with a massive tyrant penalty would be appreciated

How old is your ruler? You might want to bite the tyranny of imprisoning and banishing her if you are really old and will soon die.

Alternatively, what level is the Empire's crown authority? If you get it up to high, there are no out-of-realm inheritances. You might even be the person to inherit her stuff.

I suppose you could also use your chaplain to try to convert her to Catholicism, get her excommunicated, and imprison her that way.

Well do you have any plots available like revoking a title ?
Does she already have kids with the hungarian duke ? If not plot or simply assasinate her or the ungarian husband and remarry her
Raise your crown law to high (as mentioned above)
Use your spymaster to spread dissent, maybe she'll rebell or her vassals.
Give her the court jester title , try to force her to rebell. ;)

You revoked all duchy titles but one of her ?

If she gets children with the Hungarian king this is a great opportunity. Kill her, then kill him and therby suck Hungary into the empire.

Spend the next couple of years picking that new king-vassal apart. Send your priest to the capital and hope for some heresy ;)

THats part of the issue, I dont actually want Hungry as i'm trying to stick roughly to Romes historical borders :p (whats kind of funny is after I stole the empire from her she launched a war (her husband was a count with only one province) and placed him on hungrys throne with her super demense)

THere is a silver lining... she has gavelkind succession, bad part is, she has 3 girls and 1 boy... I just have to kill her son and the breaking up part solves itself... and as my luck would have it there isnt a single strong claimant to Hungry's throne out their...

I'll need to think on this... gotta find a way to make it so Hungry doesent inherit my stff and I dont inherent theres... without any gamey murder sprees that is

Btw why are you "pretty sure" that you wouldn't get claims? I get claims for inheritances of f.e. baronies all the time. Like the barony of Henneberg which most of the time is inherited by the French king.
