How do I stop puppet from automatically giving me their newly recruited units?

It's annoying to have to click on every new unit made by a puppet and then click delete. Especially when that puppet is China. If I want to, I can take their units anytime. Is there any way to make the AI puppet keep their own troops when they create them? I don't know why it automatically gives them to me.

I don't know why it automatically gives them to me.

"units_deployed_to_overlord = yes" is in several of the autonomy states, collaboration governments, imperial protectorates for Japan, reichsprotectorates for Germany, and integrated puppets for others, this is why the units are under your control.

Only way to make the AI countries keep their troops is to change their autonomy state, or mod the autonomy state rules.

Thanks! :(
They should at least add this as an option in the game, to choose for each puppet whether you want or don't want to.

Or call devs to change it. It's very, very annoying.

I 100% agree, make it a togglable option if it has to exist at all since you can just take them by force anyway. I just find this incredibly irritating when dealing when puppets in general.

I'm really not sure why it works like this at all. I purposefully get puppets that have higher autonomy just to stop from being annoyed by this.
