How do I stop getting expeditionary forces?

Just reloaded playing a game as USA in mid 1943, fighting in France, when suddenly I get swamped with expeditionary forces. Republican Spain handed me over pretty much their entire army, and I got a lot of divisions from France, too.

Now I wonder is there any way to stop this? As the USA I am perfectly able to bring down Germany myself, I find all these expeditionary forces just annoying and would prefer not to get any at all.

On a side note, the bug that some divisions are handed over permanently to you still occurs.

As I recall, you can access the nation concerned via diplomatic action and use one of the options there to instruct them not to send expeditionary forces (or to start sending them again if you've previously turned them off).

Thanks did so and it worked perfectly, they really fixed pretty much all the big complaints about the HoI 2 games, wonderful!

... well I agree about the big pat on the back for the AoD devs - but I'm fairly certain this feature was introduced with Armageddon ....

Right clicking to give away provinces almost made this game for me ( I hated the write down 25 provinces and then work out what they are actually called in the game diplomacy)

As answered, just say no to exp forces in diplomacy( does not need diplomat)

For ten points how do you know that Exp forces is turned on/off ( If you push the button twice...or three times.... or four) In my game it alwalys has the same answer... which is off.... for ever.

Are you sure? For me the prompt changes between "we do need expeditionary forces from" and "we do not want forces from."
