I reacently discoverd this game, have been playing it i a month everyday it feels.
Damn this addictive game! :)
Only played games as sweden yet, planing on playing other after current game. And already i'm playing AGCEEP whihc is higly unsual for me, playing mods this soon after i got a new game.

Anyway it was like 1673 i had almost taken all norway from the danes, when one of my allies mecklenburg or bremen decided to make peach for 200 golds. I thought i was gonna break something. So how can i stop this. And why is it that the ai isn't program to make seperate peace?

And as a side note the only reason i was allied to tehm was for trying vassilaise, but it whouldent work. Think it is becouse my king only got 3 yellow dots in diplomacy. And what i can make out of that system that ain't good.

There's really no way to stop them. If you don't want such things to occur, you should be the leader of the alliance, then you have the final say on any peace deal.

As alliance leader you have the final word on the peace deal as Curtis said. If you are not the alliance leader you are in jeopardy of getting cheated by your AI leader as you experienced. You can avoid this in many cases by making a separate peace with an unimportant country in the enemy alliance. This gives you a separate war and then you can't be cheated, although on the other hand you don't have your allies' protection, either.

If you're in an alliance and not the leader and want to be than you can often break it up by declaring war on a nation none of the others know of (try the Incas or an African nation) The others will dishonour the call to war then quickly invite them all back into your alliance and you will the leader.

What is it with you people and annexing pagans? Usually their provinces are next to useless. Exceptions include the Aztecs and the Incas but their good provs are gold which can really get your inflation flaring...

If 90 percent of my provinces are not 6+ base tax (for colonial empires) or 8+ base tax (otherwise) than there's something seriously amiss

Well the Pagans in West Africa are fairly rich! :)

You can convert them to your culture!

Although only the African and South/Central American ones are worth it.

The north american pagans are probably easiest to convert to your religion/culture. Once converted their provinces are a great addition to your colonies in the area.

The best advantage is one less merchant in your cots. Those pagans nations are fiendishly aggressive traders. It's super annoying.

Pagans are far from useless. Even if the inherent wealth of their provinces is low, such as in Africa or North America, the cost you pay to conquer them is negligible, as you incur no BB.

After a conversion, they become of your culture/religion, which gives you manpower if you have a land connection to them (mainly for african provinces, that last point).

Also, they often produce moderate to rich goods (especially fur) giving you a nice production income. Base taxes might be low, it's unimportant.

Base tax isn't the most important thing. Once you get good tech levels you'll get much more income from production and trade than from base tax. Is Aires (BT=6, fish) really that good of a province?

One word on the original subject : your vassals can't make peace with a country you're at war with. So, it's a good thing to be allied with your vassals, if you want to be sure they won't quit. ;)
