I am on the Leapord, at the location of the mission, but have no idea how to start the mission. My main char is hurt for 7 more days...is that it? If so , how do I get back to the advance time area of the game?

On this screen to advance the timeline so your character heals, click on the diamond with this symbol and the timeline will advance, (click again and it will pause). Time will pass and your character will heal. When ready for the contract you click on the launch contract button , also shown in the above pic. Time also pauses if you go to any of the sidebar locations, like the mechbay.

Thank you, but as I said, I have passed this screen and do not know how to get back. I did not know my main char was needed for EVERY mission drop and continued without him healed all the way. Any way to get back to this screen?
You click the Leopard (as in the first of the six menus) to return to the advance time screen. If you have local contracts nothing should be stopping you from doing a mission. If you need to travel, you need to let time pass.

How do I get to the launch mission screen?
It's right in the middle of that screenshot. 'Launch contract' under the Leopard menu. You need a contract first of course, which you get from Darius.
Must have been a bug. When I clicked on the Leopard it just went to the interior shot with the guy to talk to and the roster. When I loaded my saved game it came to the exterior shot with option to launch.....thanks.
