I'm playing Burgundy atm and I'd like to release Germany as a vassal; however, they don't show up in the list of countries I can release (I own cologne, palatinate, hessen). Can they be released? is there a specific time, or provinces to own?

the expiry date is jan 1st 1500. the capital of GER is prov 348, Ansbach. You must own it to relase the vassal Germany.

You don´t need 348 :eek:o
It´s only used if you got 348 and releases Germany then it will take 348 as the capital.
If you got one of the provs in revolt.csv then you can release Germany ;) (If Germany allready excists then you can´t do it  )

If you own pretty much any province in current day Germany, Austria, or the Netherlands, (Mabye even Switzerland, I'm not sure) then you can release Germany. Pretty much anywhere within the HRE, basically.

I'm not sure about the expiration date, but I'd be willing to go with the already stated 1500.

P.S: Germany was only added as a revolter in recent patches, since CK came out - don't expect it to be present in earlier versions.

That's not true... I'm running AGCEEP with the latest patch, own numerous provinces in the HRE and can't release Germany. Do I need to be playing vanilla?

I like releasing vassals but you dont seem to able to release many vassals in AGCEEP so I dont tend to play it. For some reason you cant release vassals in vannilla on Jan 1st or Jan 2nd 1419

Probably. I wouldn't rely on AGCEEP to leave the vanilla revolt.txt file intact.

In the opinion of the modders for the AGCEEP, simply creating Germany as a vassal is not a realistic prospect in this period. A one-province state claiming to be the rightful holder of the crown of Germany would not be recognised by either the states in the HRE or the states outside it. If you want a Germany in this period, you have to win it though blood, sweat and tears. Much like for Italy, Germany is not releaseable as a vassal, but playing as a German state it is possible to unify the area and become Germany yourself.

In otherwords, yes, you must be playing Vanilla to release "Germany". AGCEEP makes "Germany" a condition for some german states to achieve through conquest/diplomacy rather then a revolter (sort of like Tver becoming Russia).
