supplies instantly transport so there are no supply map modes. Makes sure your government purchase slider is at max and that your loans taken are not in the red. If your slider is not at max you won't be buying enough goods to keep your chaps supplied. If your loans taken is in the red then you are in debt default and military expenditure is the first to be cut.

I think I get everything but the economy. Oh, and the PoPs. And I might be a little fuzzy on the supplies.

But, uh, I get politics? A bit?

Gah! What annoys me is that I really WANT to understand! And it's close! I understand EU3! I understand HoI2! Why can't I understand this? I read the AARs, I did all of the turorial! Why!

/Rant over

I hope I will understand. I really do.

You dont necessarily have to understand everything to play (except for the harder countries), france for example is pretty easy (nice starting gold mine) and people with a cheerful disposition and room for colonizing africa without ending up in tough wars so you can ignore large parts of the economy while you focus on others. Different countries play very differently.

How do you learn to play this game? Wrong logic, sonny.

You play to learn the game!

Seriously, a demo with one of the more unwieldly countries in the game isn't the best way to get your sea legs.

The demo wasn't really geared to help you learn the game, it was there to show you the kind of things that you can do in the game. There are huge possibilities there and the USA is one of those countries that offers a lot early.
