I'd like to finish my current savegame without it being updated with the new patch on Oct 14th. How do I prevent the automatic update?
Thanks guys. Seems a bit complicated. What is this "beta tab" you refer to?
There was a stickied thread in the main forum, but sadly unstickied and i don't find it anymore by a quick search, anway here we go:
- In the Steam launcher, right click CK2
- now go to 'properties'
- Choose the tab called 'Betas'
- select one of the versions you want to install. You won't need a code. Simply ignore that part.
- now Steam will proceed to download that version. Wait until the download is done.
- You might need to run the game once inside Steam to get the DLCs registered. Might also work before, not sure.
Enjoy.
Or look at the picture in this post (it's in the german subforum): http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...s-of-India&p=17127483&viewfull=1#post17127483

Wouldn't it make sense to add this information to "Known issues" or simply move and sticky that old thread in here ?
There's two betas currently.Ok, thanks. I see where the betas should be but I don't see any betas yet, but I guess that's because the patch hasn't been released yet. I'll check back when the patch is released.
There's two betas currently.
So you click on the CK2 Betas tab, and you see a drop list with "NONE- etc" written on it, right? Then you click on the droplist and see - what exactly?
Yes, it says "NONE - Opt out of all betas". But when I click the arrow next to it, it doesn't do anything. I'm not given a choice to select from.
Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a question that is so much related, I thought of asking it here.
I still am playing with 2.04 because of a long standing game I'm playing with a friend, using the beta option from steam. As such, I still did not buy Rajas of India. If I were to buy it... would the game automatically update resulting me in losing my old savegames? Or not? Asking because Rajas of India is currently on sale, so...
Thanks in advance for the answers.
