How do I get the pre-ordered icon?

OK, look. Here is what I imagine will happen. You will get a key from Steam once the game is released. This key can be used to activate EU4 and the EU4 pre-order icons, provided you bought the game before release as a pre-order. And everyone will live happily ever after.

The keys you received are for registering the game on Steam, in the upcoming hours you should see a CD-Key menu item in the Steam Games library that will give you your key that you can register on these forums.
