Wait until the game is released on Steam, then press "View CD-Key" on Steam. Any other keys you used to activate on Steam will not work.

Does this mean that I won't get the icon even though I preordered long ago? I won't be able to register because of travel.

I got two keys from GMG, one for pre-oder bonuses and other for the EU4DE. Neither of them work for me on registering EU4 preorder on the forums. Should I wait for the steam installation to give me another ket for that or something?

The keys you received are for registering the game on Steam, in the upcoming hours you should see a CD-Key menu item in the Steam Games library that will give you your key that you can register on these forums.

That confuses me as well - So the key itself (The steam key from a pre-order) isn't what triggers the pre-order forum code? What is then?
