you can build infrastructure in states that you own to get more resources that you already produce, sometimes you may have a focus or decision that gives you production of a specific resource

1) Build infrastructure on high resources output province.
2) Switch to Limited Exports or even Closed Economy law.
3) Research Resources Extraction tech.
4) Research Synthetic Oil and Fuel Refining and build refinery if you need oil and rubber.
5) Some National Focus provide extra resources on certain province immediately.
In addition, you can still increase your trade influence by 1) having the right minister, 2) having operative running trade influence mission, 3) having good relationship with nation you want to trade with, and that would still get you some trade contracts even if you are at war.

What is resource output, like a resource that i can get every in game day?
Resources are produced in states - you can find out what and where with the resources map mode.
One of the quirks of the HOI4 resource economy is that any surplus resources (per day) cease to exist.

Assuming you are playing Germany, you build lots of Civilian factories. You trade those for resources, especially within the Axis (Hungary, Romania, Vichy France, even a little from Italy). Also Yugoslavia (they join sometimes).

You can research excavation which helps some with your own resources. And max infrastructure on areas with a lot of resources

But basically as Germany you have a ton of steel. Very little Tungsten and Chromium. Very little oil.

In my last game, I kept the default trade policy (I think limited exports). The exports are good...they give you civs...which you can use to trade for what you need.

So basically you buy oil from Romania, Iraq, Iran. Rubber you will need to produce with refineries you build.

Turkey has a ton of Chromium. If you go with heavy tanks and artillery, you do pretty well. In fact so well its trivially easy kinda. I had Tiger tanks in 1939.

I always had shortages of tungsten when I was going with medium tanks and artillery. But after the fall of france it becomes easy to get stuff from Spain, Portugal, etc.

Basically, trade for everything you need. Spend 1936 building a ton of civilian factories.

You run into problems if you build a lot of artillery and a lot of medium tanks and a lot of anti tank. All that requires tungsten and that's rare.

But if you build heavy tanks, artillery, and anti-air, you have plenty of resources.

Hey,thx for the help,so how does it work is that i can get resources per day by building infrastructure more and more?

When you open up your construction window, select infrastructure to build. You will notice that the map changed so you can see the resources in your country. Find a province that has a lot of resources in it and click on it to add some infrastructure. You will notice that the number beside the resources now has a "+" sign and a number beside that. That is how much additional resources the infrastructures will give you in that one province, once the construction is completed.
