Not if you start as a hordeYeah, when it comes down to the Zoroastrian revival, half of it is straight down to luck.

Yes. Both the decision to become the Saoshyant and the one to restore the high priesthood in fact require you to control the entire de jure Persian Empire. http://www.ckiiwiki.com/Decisions#Realm
No in my 1500hrs ingame I didn't know that. No but seriously I only like to play as a custom ruler, and most of the time I start as a count. Thats just my playstyle, also I've asked in the past how to play as a Nomad as I want to make a custom nomad Zoro. My head canon with that one is that the Zoros who didn't submit to the Muslims were lead by the last Zoroastrian King house hold guard to the North, were they been living a Nomadic life ever since. And I want the Saoshyant to be a descendant from that Dynasty.
Makes sense right?
Sounds like Sogdians to me. Sorta. The Alans could fit in there too, somewhere. Of course, I choose Zun over Zoro as the Alans because I don't want to settle down, and Alans were pagan.
Aaaaaanyways, I also tend to start at the earliest choice. No idea why. Just because.
That is correct.I forgot about the settle down thing, they always keep there empire title right?

Same here, tho I been playing some custom games in 867 lately, as this is the only other early start date where western Europe borders are nice, No HRE, and Umyyads have a bigger chance of getting owned
I don't have an answer, but I wanna know I how'd you successfully become the Saoshyant? Did you cheat?
If you get lucky at the start it's not that hard.
