I've just become the Saoshyant and done everything a good Zoroastrian boy does (including marrying and making concubines of my sisters) but to make it perfect, I would like to have a Zoroastrian government flair.

I know the Norse and other Pagans get one, so surely Zoroastrians get one? I have no idea where I would find the requirements.

If you want to emulate Sasan era kingdom policies, RP it up: never build trade posts, as the fourth estate, traders, were considered less wholesome than a dung-heap slave's armpit.

Karen were one of the real life (pre-) Sasan high-blood families and the very last to peter out, if you've started from them, act like a Sasan high-blood. The fire-temples were everything, with most strata of society working towards their constant upkeep (the traders did not have a fire temple). Let the mowbedan-mowbed dictate foreign policy (he will anyway) and concentrate on the strength of your four armies.

Hm -as you can see -you can do so little with Ahuramazda's finest in CK as it now stands: to rectify it would be as intricate and as late as a proper fix to the ERE.

Expanding on richvh's answer: You can find the requirements for government flavors in common/government_flavor/00_government_flavor. (or additional files in that folder if any are ever added) If you want to know how they actually appear in game, you'll need to search the localization files. The strings for the zoroastrian governments are in localization/v2_50b.csv.

Also I think most people think you meant something different by "government type" :p

I hate that it base on luck, most of the time my lands get revoked

I hope you are aware that you don't have to play the earliest start date, right?
Playing as Karen satrapy in TOG starts or choosing a horde and then converting with a concubine or choosing a Manichean horde are also doable strategys. Starting under the Abbablob is like asking for trouble.

No in my 1500hrs ingame I didn't know that :p. No but seriously I only like to play as a custom ruler, and most of the time I start as a count. Thats just my playstyle, also I've asked in the past how to play as a Nomad as I want to make a custom nomad Zoro. My head canon with that one is that the Zoros who didn't submit to the Muslims were lead by the last Zoroastrian King house hold guard to the North, were they been living a Nomadic life ever since. And I want the Saoshyant to be a descendant from that Dynasty.

Makes sense right?

Most of the hard starts except for maybe jewish Africa are decided by luck early on.
What is the factor for Jewish Africa then?
No matter what I either get holy warred by Abyssinia or if I swear fealty I'm converted in few years. Well, I didn't try taking Abbasids as liege if that's even possible.

All of the gods smiling on you and a lot of patience. Not even sure if it would be possible with the current patch as the ai is a lot more aggressive wity holy wars.

I don't have an answer, but I wanna know I how'd you successfully become the Saoshyant? Did you cheat?

I started of in the Charlemagne start as the Bavandid Satraps son, killed my father and then I turned Muslim. I was half and half on whether I wanted to become Saoshyant in the end but somehow the Abbasids got a claim on the Umayyad sultanate and successfully pushed it, whiiiiich gave an independence faction alot of members, which I almost didn't join (but I did anyway) because it got up to 500%.

Of course it fired, and we just about won it, which caused most of the entire Caliphate to collapse and then I just ate up my neighbours to the point where I was strong enough to become the Shahanshah, and I managed to do it in seventy years although my threat level went through the roof. Half the reason I believe the Abbasids never attacked me during all of this is because their threat level was also extremely high after taking Andalusia (they even had a Sunni Muslim coalition against them at one point).

Hi to everyone, after many tries I succedeed in restoring the persian empire as a zoroastrian ruler... problem is: the game won't permit me to restore zoroastrian priesthood...do I still have to conquer all the zoroaster holy sites? I ask this because in my game Tabriz is still under the Abbasid empire while I have retaken the other four.

Yes. Both the decision to become the Saoshyant and the one to restore the high priesthood in fact require you to control the entire de jure Persian Empire. http://www.ckiiwiki.com/Decisions#Realm
