I am sick and tired of asking for the XP problem to be fixed quickly. Obviously this is a simple matter of going back into the old files and bringing it on for us to download. If Paradox is unwilling to do so in a timely manner, I want my money back. I want to know what the procedure is to get my funds back as I am sick and tired of getting the run around about this. To any Paradox staff reading this, please inform me of how I should proceed with sending my copy back to Sweden from where I ordered the game.

I think you're over reacting. Paradox will definitely have a patch out, but it would be a lot more useful if the patch fixed other bugs and problems instead of just the xp leader problem. I'm guessing it'll be out inside a week and for me, thats not a long time to wait.

Patience. Good things come to he who waits. It's quite common in software developing for a bug or unintended errr "feature" :D to be introduced, and a fix usually comes along quite quickly, but seldom overnight. Please reconsider your current displeasure, try to put it in perspective to your real life, and the real world . . . see how trivial it is?

anybody told you that it will be in a week? i would guess a month?? two months?
i don't want my money back or anything else, because i'm quite happy with the game, but i don't think he is overreacting. this thread about the xp problem has 558 replies and about 20000 views. but no real official statement about a patch/hotfix to this accident (and nobody can tell me the effects of this change were wanted by any of the developers/betas...). i can understand him beeing angry. and with so many players beeing angry, a small hotfix would make everybody happy, and bring paradox the time to develop a real enhancement.

I work between 50-60 hours a week, I spend 2 hours driving to and from work everyday. When I get a weekend like Easter off I want to relax and enjoy a game or two. This problem has persisted and angered players like myself for close to two weeks now and I am quite frankly fed up with the lack of response till last Friday. I don't intend on waiting another 2 weeks, getting angry about a fix that can esentially be fixed by going back to the old system until a new and workable system is ready. I am not a programer and I can't fix it myself.

My patience has run out. I would like a response on how to get my money back.

SonofWinter, have you tried this potential hot fix:

2) Unistall completly (registry cleaning include) of DD, delete the files that are still there after

3) Reinstll a vanilla DD (unpatched), then delete the .exe, and then put in the folder the .exe precedently saved on the desktop.

You will have the old system for the leaders, but the .exe bugs will be corrected (the .exe is patched, not the files).

It worked for me, hope it will for you.

So he wants his money back not because he can't play the game, but because of a bug in the experience gathering function? :confused:

I was understanding enough as long as I thought it was a problem with WINDOWS XP, but now my reaction is just: :rofl:

or you could just sell it on ebay. a lot of people out there are still waiting for the chance to play the game.

if the XP issue is the only problem you have with the game, and a patch is released which fixes it, then, assuming you want to play it later, you'll just have to buy it all over again.

Tath´s the diffrent betwen Paradox and EA etc. I don´t think any other bigger company (if you could call Paradox for a big company) would ever offer compensation for a minor bug in a game. And I agree with the post above.
