How do I get a pet eagle?

I am a nomadic tengri khazar in the eagle warrior lodge.

How do I go about getting a pet eagle?

Other rulers of my faith/culture seem to have them

This is pretty spoilerific. The non-spoiler version is - you just have to wait and hope for the relevant event chain.

Members of warrior lodges will occasionally receive an event chain that involves slaying a legendary beast. For Tengri, this is an eagle. Uniquely for Tengri, after you slay the beast you find an egg and have the option of raising the chick as your pet.

I've done a few pagan runs now, and the legendary beast event chain seems to be fairly rare (for all religions). It may require high society rank (veteran or hero). It seems to happen within a decade of reaching high rank - but sometimes it doesn't happen at all. I'm not sure what the prerequisites are. (I could dig through the code to find out... but I usually choose not to do so because a little bit of mystery increases my enjoyment of the game.)

According to the wiki, there is also a unique bloodline for Tengri Heros who complete a legendary journey with an eagle as a pet. I've tried a couple of times but never managed to get it - either I didn't find an eagle in time, or the eagle died before the journey started.

I really wonder how that bloodline works
its pretty neat one if its giving you eagle allways since its a unique animal and being allowed to have it even when you convert sounds great.

Well, the canine/hunter bloodline doesn't work properly (it doesn't give you extra hunting dogs), so the eagle bloodline probably doesn't work either. Unfortunately. :-/
