How do you define a revolter? Is it just an entry in the revolt.txt document, or are there other files I need to mess with?
Only the revolt.txt entry. And the other usual stuff of course (flags, ministers, leaders etc.)...Originally posted by Hans

Note that HoI does not have EU2 style revolts. The information in revolt.txt is used only by the independence command.
hmm...I dont think so, how?Originally posted by Havard

The civil_war command will only have effect for a country if a revolter is defined within it's borders. If there is a revolter defined it will emerge in the provinces defined in revolt.txt.Originally posted by Ktarn

Because, as I explained in my last post, the civil_war command make the country appear.Originally posted by Hans
I'm not even sure the independence command is properly working. In the Spanish Civil War event the independence command is commented out, leaving only the civil war command to trigger the revolt.
Both the independence and civil_war commands are working fine. The reason for the commented out independence command in the Spanish Civil War event is most likely that the civil_war command was changed during development to also release the revolterOriginally posted by Ktarn
I didnt see the comment before the independence command in the SCW event...
The command is working btw, the Vichy event uses it, so does bitter peace and croatia independent.
Probably. This constant time-travelling gets to me sometimes.Originally posted by Havard

Try to save+load after the vichy event, but before the Chad event, does the event trigger then?Originally posted by Havard
Hm... seems like there could be a bug with event trigger checks for event-created countries...

What you have described should work really... I'll have to test tomorrow.
Have you tried to trigger the French Chad event directly from the Vichy event?

Well, there is not only events they have problems with so to say...Originally posted by Bolt
So it sounds to me like Havard's hunch about event created countries having a problem with trigger checks is on the right track.
