My gameplan is to take out Lithuania and Latvia for factories and cores before war with Germany, then rush into eastern preussen, then just build a bit of forts on border and wait till france gets into the war, this all works rather well till Czechoslovakia capitulates, now i have to defend a super long border, which is easy with mountains, but ties down so many of my troops that i cant cover my pushes into germany.

You don't. You could defeat Germany if that was it, but Soviets will attack you from behind and you can't win that. You give Danzig to Germany, defeat the Soviets and then come back for Germany.

But by the point Russia is defeated Germany is beyond control, they have taken France and the rest of Europe.

Non historical, you could do Miedzymorze and guarantee Czechoslovakia. Germany will struggle in 1938 if you and Czechs are combined. Even better if you can get others to join. That used to work, but I've not tried it in a while and Paradox has seriously changed the rules so Italy now tends to join Germany early if Germany goes to war... So I can't promise it'll work.

A few months ago I played Poland and won, but it was cheesy as heck.

I gave up Danzig and the Germans left me alone to fight France and other things. I used all my time to prepare for the Russian assault. When they attacked they committed suicide on my defenses. Once the Russians were bled white I conquered Russia,

Quickly after Russia fell, the Germans declared war on me. I rushed by troops back to the German border and was able to stabilize a front barely west of Warsaw. Then I proceeded to bleed the Germans dry on my defenses and quit the game in boredom.

I should say this was cheesy and I was very lucky that the Germans left me alone so I could defeat the Russians.

I played Poland on historical and didn't give in to Germany or Soviets and eventually won. This was about a month ago. Germany was out first and then the soviets, with the war in the east done about 1944.

I built maybe 3civs then all mills.
Formed the PLC like you said.
Made half cavalry and half infantry divisions and stacked the high command bonuses (then later on my generals had both infantry and cavalry leader).
All divisions had AA but no AT and I researched AA way ahead of time.
No air at all.
Also had engineer and maintenance companies, with maintenance companies researched way ahead of time as well.
I defended Germany on the border but took over east Prussia. Then when SU declared I defended on a line from Memel and that river down to Slovakia.

Fun game, took about a number of tries to be successful though!

How do you defeat Russia as a minor? I have done it before as communist France without conquering anything before and using lots of light tanks to encircle stuff. But a minor?

It was cheesy. I gave up Danzig and the Germans decided not to attack me. That let me build defend some river lines to the east and let the Russians suicide against my defenses until they literally ran out of equipment and men. When I attacked, they could not even slow me down.

I am assuming there was some luck involved, as the Germans did not attack me at all, until Russia fell.

If you control all Soviet manpower and industry, you can build entire full armies of tanks and roll over Germany. Poland-Lithuania controlling Russia is stronger than Germany controlling half of France.

Its not glamorous, but for me I just sat behind the river for about 2 years and killed millions of men while they lost equipment (which I steadily siphoned off them).
After all the time of th m attacking they were so low on equipment that I could break out very easily.

14/4 infantry. And let them attack deeply entrenched lines (with forts, or better still, behind river/in mountains/forests etc) for a while to waste equipment.

It will take a few year before the Soviet attack you with their focus at the end of the tree. So you can finish Germany first. The German is not too strong in 1939, make sure you have enough AA or game over. Try the light Tank combine with infantry template. No time to build mot or have xp for tank-cavalry.

I played histrorical setting, Elite difficulty, send command attachee to Republic of Spain and China.

You don't. You could defeat Germany if that was it, but Soviets will attack you from behind and you can't win that. You give Danzig to Germany, defeat the Soviets and then come back for Germany.

It's definitely possible to survive as Poland facing both Germany and the Soviets at the same time without doing anything too crazy.

For the OP, what I would do is go fascist, and take out Lithuania and form the PLC. You can try and get Latvia as well but it'll be a coin flip as to whether or not it gets guaranteed by the Allies.

For your army, the majority of your army should be 20W with cav recon, AA, Art, and engineers as support. I build 12 40W divisions that have 13 Inf/4 Art/2 AA along with the same support brigades as my main attacking force. Use them to clear Konigsberg and make small advances. Your goal is to establish a solid defensive front against Germany before the Soviets attack. The Soviet attack timetable is highly variable- in some games they attack in late '39, in others not until mid 1940. An example game here- I got a bit lucky and the Soviets wont attack me until June 1940. I've pushed the Germans back across the Oder and have a solid defensive front that they cannot break. I've got 48 divisons on the Soviet borders currently, with at least another 24 ready to go before they attack along with probably 12-24 spare divisions I can redeploy from the German front. In the end I ended up giving up on this game because Germany killed the rest of Europe by the end of 1940. The Soviets and Germans couldn't break my lines, but I couldn't really push into their territory either and it was a fairly boring stalemate. I've also had games play out where the Germans can't break through the lowlands and I'm able to finish them off and then put my whole army against the Soviets, but I didn't have any saves for that.
