How do i change succesion laws in non-primary titles?

Well, i gues that the title said it all, i played the demo by the way.

If you are a king or emperor, you have to go to the laws screen and select your other kingdoms and empires (the shields). That will pop up the succession and authority laws for the title in question.

I don't think you can have multiple inheritance laws for multiple duchies.

I'm fairly sure the example was used of having different duchies descending by different methods, and thus although you could gather them together in one reign, they'd risk splitting up in the next unless you could align the succession methods.

Exactly that, i was playing as harold and i let william win, he olny won the title of king of england and the barony of westminster, i kept almost the 50% of the lands of england. The thing is that i have galvekind and all my lands will be splitted up between my sons, i know how to change the law in my primary title (duke of oxford) but im not shure if this will change the succesion in all my others duchies.

Can you just change around your primary title a few times to look at them all?

Isn't your land split because your primary title has gavelkind? If you have gavelkind and more than 1 duke title you will loose a lot of land on succession since the titles will be split. Since william won, isn't englang now in high crown authority? Can't you change your succession law? Or assassinate your heirs brother.

Well, every version I've played has not had separate inheritance laws for multiple duchies. Just for kings and emperors. This includes the current version (have no idea about the demo).

This guy is a multi-duke.

And here is his succession laws. He can only select one law. The French heraldry next to his duchy title is France's laws, since he is de jure a part of France. But he can only set one inheritance law among his ducal titles.

If he has gavelkind, (which he does) those duchies will separate out upon his death.

The interface looks different if you are a multi-king. You can click on all your kingdom titles and set laws for each of them.

Perhaps some exceptions may have been better, for instance if some one inherits one duchy from his mother and another from his father, he has no siblings, and leaves no heir, then the former duchy should pass through the maternal line and the latter through the paternal line.

A more general rule could be duchies from different de jure kingdoms (or empires).
