How do I become the market leader?

If there already exists a market leader, how would I usurp their position? The wiki does not seem to provide information about this and the only ways seems to be destroying their planet designated as market leader from what I gather through other sources.

I believe your only hope is to claim and then conquer the system where the galactic market was established (vassalization won't do the trick).

Depending on how dependent your economy is on the market, this may or may not be worth it for the 10% reduction it gives.
