All you got to do is encircle the army at the border. You can easily encircle 100-200 division by the time you reach proper Russia. The russian AI seems incapable to replenish if they lose so many divisions.

Should i be worried for my manpower?and should my tank division be spearhead or offensive line?thx for the reply
If you only attack with tanks and use good division templates you don't really need to worry about manpower. 1.5 million is plenty. In SP I usually attack the USSR with 120 20 width infantry and about 15 divisions of 40-width tanks.

Manpower constantly decreasing might be due to resistance in the areas you've conquered & garrison losses. Especially if you're using a harsh enforcement.

Either that or you're at peace and have been forced out of the best recruitment law.

Spearhead or offensive line for tanks?thx for the reply
Neither, I and most experienced players micromanage my tanks (manually order divisions around by right-clicking) and avoid using the battleplanner altogether. Using the battleplanner at all leads to millions of unnecessary casualties.

Oh ok,how do i reduce the resistance then?i just beat ussr and the resistance is pretty high,i changed my garrison to local police force but i guess not much have changed, thx for the reply
put it at civilian occupation or local police force and wait for compliance to build up. make a division with all cavalry or armored cars with military police and set it to garrison everything and just wait. sure it sucks to have some resistance in the short term but collaboration more than makes up for it in the long run

Indeed.

The battle planner is way too unreliable. If you use a spearhead order into a province, if the province your front line is across borders even two states, the attack will be split between them. You can't actually use the battle planner to plan your attacks.

For a veteran in most circumstances, there is no option but to forego planning bonus entirely.

It's one of the most frustrating issues in the game. I'd rate it right up there along with the logistics and AI(related!). It feels unfair because in singleplayer your enemies will make use of planning bonus, whereas you cannot unless you want to throw lives away. Although the AI is so incompetent it can't actually *effectively* make use of planning bonus, it still rankles. It also makes GBP useless from a player perspective. I still sometimes stick with GBP none the less if I don't use many ground troops and plan on playing defensively. You can just research the first 3 techs of GBP and get some good defensive bonuses for infantry. It's also situationally worth taking as a commonwealth country due to the commonwealth research sharing, but for no reason other than that usually.

Peace conferences is the hip thing to complain about(and it IS an issue, make no mistake), but I honestly think the issues with planning bonus is much, much worse and more egregious. It's also unmodable for the most part, unlike peace conferences.
