This is kind of my specialty, so here is a short guide to win easily in this scenario.

1- Make a CB against Shanxi as soon as possible. As soon as the CB is done, start fabricating against Xibei San Ma. Then after that against Sinkiang.

2- As soon as the game starts, put 5 factory slots into infantry weapons. Also start making 4 divisions of the smallest infantry you have and prioritize the weapons going to them.

3- Whenever the CB for Shanxi is ready, declare war on them. Your 4 new divisions should be ready by now. Don't bother fighting them, just pin their divisions each with one of yours and then start running around taking their territory. You should be able to annex them within less than a month.

4- Repeat the same strategy with Xibei and then with Sinkiang. You need to be able to at least declare war on Sinkiang before you get the event that lets you form the second united front.

5- At some point after annexing Xibei, you want to start making support equipment, AA, and artillery. Not necessarily all at the same time, but you will need all of those later, so start preparing.

6- Whenever you get the event that lets you ally with China, do it, but don't join the war immediately when it begins. Instead, start building a supply depot in the province of Suiyan. You will need it later. Don't build it too close to the border otherwise it will be easy for Japan to take it. I suggest putting it next to the river.

7- At this point, the Japanese invasion should begin. Don't join it. Instead, start building a real army. You want an army of pure infantry with AA support, maintenance company, and artillery support, in this order of importance. You will probably have an army of around 300 000-400 000 men by the time you join the war.

8- When China has lost most of its coastal territory, it's time to join the war before they collapse. It will be tempting to try to attack them, but you will probably fail as they bring reinforcement. Try to hold the line.

9- Japan will start invading the allies' colonies. This is the turning point of the war, because they will remove divisions out of China. You want to start invading Mengukuo and Manchukuo while doing as little as possible to help China.

10- Go as far as Korea. At this point, Japan may get the event that allows it to end the war. If it does, then just keep building an army and unify China. It will be easy with Manchurian industry and resources. If they don't surrender, just make transport planes and send paratroopers in Japan to capture a port, then conquer it. I suggest the area around Hiroshima, but not directly on Hiroshima.

With these tips you should be able to win, but I can elaborate further if you need additional support.

CCP is Chinese Communist Party
CCCP is Союз Советских Социалистических Республик, or USSR in English

also considering op mentioned tanks not doing well, and maybe using mountaineers, I think they meant Soviet Volunteers to the Spanish Civil War

I assumed that CCCP was a typo and that Nationalists meant Nationalist China, which is a common name for China as controlled by the Nationalist Party. As for the tanks, I thought that OP was trying to use them in China, which is a terrible idea and would have explained why they weren't doing well.

I go with 6 + 3 (200fighter) Mountains to spain only add Support companys to the tempplate and farm there 4-5 generals to infantry expert.

Just remember only attack in teretory without the 90% debuff.
Push in, cut them, encircle them. Should be easy.

I simply sent 6 mountaineers and smacked through weak spots where nationalists had 1-2 divisions, with a good general and battle plan they would eventually grind through them even without spanish decisions and allow to create small encirclements

Don t waste armour in Spain. You will lose a LOT of tanks to attrition.

You need to act quick.

Get yourself an attache. Use 6 mountaineers only, and 100 Bombers and 100 fighters. Focus on the western front by Portugal and cut them in two. Squeeze until you have encircled and destroy the divisions caught in the gap. You should get about 10-12 all being well, and possibly the majority of the volunteers from Italy and Germany. Then push North. Try not to let the nationalists get Madrid. If you go with the focus to help Spain they will eventually turn Communist and will become your puppet when you win. It takes a few years, or it did in my case. I actually think the harder aspect of this strategy is defending Spain against Germany! when the time comes.

Even though it wasn't what op proposed, I do appreciate the tips on how to proceed as ComChina as it's been a country I have being wanted to play for so long!

I like this a lot.

It's very historical within the bounds of the game's systems.

1. Expand in nominally nationalist areas that are outside of the nationalists core territory. (As represented by the warlords)

2. Join the united front but do very little to help the nationalists.

3. Wait for the allies to join and start expanding in North China.

4. From your north China/Manchurian base, attack the nationalists.
