On my tech chart it shows the techs you can learn once you've learned the cavalry are like mot and/or mech. Then you can of course research further mot/mech techs. But I understand from past threads with you guys that cavalry upgrade during the game (eventually to units that are symbolized by a helicopter, which I had a few of my last game). Are there particular techs I need to research or anything I need to do to make sure they upgrade as fast as possible?

Thanks!

Look at Cavarly 1951 tech in the secret weapons section and the Cavalry 1946 tech in the infantry section. Cav1946 has Mech1944 as a requirement.

It should be mentioned that Cav1951 is much more expensive in terms of oil and tc and icd than Cav1946 but still has lower fighting values than it. That is the reason why you can still build Cav1946 once you have Cav1951. But unless you prevent upgrading they will upgrade to Cav1951, so maybe you better prevent it.

Thanks Pang! I think I know where the prevent upgrade is, so I can do that when the time comes. But is there another reason why 51 might be better than 46? Maybe its a ton faster or something? Or else why would they actually make the newer units worse overall?

Thanks!

It has speed 24 compared to speed 15 of Cav1946. In 1951 Armour has only speed 16, in 1954 it is 20. The late cavalry models donnot seem to be a good choice.
