How can you get Darkest Hour Kaiserreich to work on Steam?

I've tried at least a dozen times to make Kaiserreich work on Darkest Hour version of steam. I know there are probably loads of threads asking the same question, but I'm almost completely useless when it comes to computers, so I'll need step by step instructions. And just so nobody tells me you need the Darkest Hour version of Kaiserreich, I've been trying with the right download.

Help me! I can't go another day without being able to turn America into a military dictatorship!

Isn't it that you move the extracted Kaiserreich folder into the Darkest Hour mods folder?

What exactly is your problem? What did you do? What does not work?

1. Download Kaiserreich mod.
2. Extract/install the mod into the C:\[folder name]\Darkest Hour\Mods.
3. Launch DH Launcher.
4. Bottom right corner: Choose Kaiserreich
5. Click "LAUNCH".

I did exactly what you said, but when I run Darkest Hour with Kaiserreich it has all of the scenarios from the original hearts of iron, no ministers, and no Kaiserresich scenarios

You must be doing something wrong in the steps that UltimateTobi posted. Check again. You must have the following folder;
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\ai
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\config
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\db
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\gfx
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\map
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\music
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\scenarios
- Darkest Hour\Mods\Kaiserreich for DH\sfx

And then choose "Kaiserreich for DH" from the Launcher

I also have a quick question, I noticed a lot of the units in this mod don't have unique pictures like they did in the older version. I do something wrong and just not seeing them?

What do you do if the launcher does not work? Launchers never work for me on any game. I always have to start them manually. I have had that issue all the way back to trying to use JSGME or whatever it was. I can get the game to run, I just can't access my saves.

You need Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 for the launcher.

That explains it then. AFAIK, I don't have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and definitely have never used it if I do have it. LOL.
