I have seen so many cases that Tibet becomes a part of possession of one Indian state, as they can easily cross the Himalayas. That needs to be changed. Though some relationships and communications between Tibet and India existed that time, how can 10k foot infantry from India cross Himalayas without suffer any attrition?

Himalayas should be inaccessible to troops, and Tibet needs some protection from incursion.

The easiest solution is to make Tibet not exist on the board (and just replace it with a wasteland), honestly. It addresses the problem (nations crossing the Himalayas), but it's an unelegant solution, I feel.

They need to reintroduce impassable mountain ranges like in CK2 and old EU3 mods. It would help certain nations like Castile and Tibet getting completely overwhelmed by their stronger neighbours.

Terrain is poorly handled, you don't get strategic bottlenecks when moving forces, and coupled with weak attrition armies go pretty much where they want. In reality you can march a huge army through the Himalyas, you just get a really tiny one at the end, can't be bothered to look up actual figures but military genius Hannibal started with 100k troops to cross the Alps and arrived with 20-30k, someone will have better figures.

Already exists in most overhaul mods. A tiny strip of wasteland that represents the moutain range and only allows passes between certain provinces. Paradox should inspire themselves

That's about right. 90,000 infantry and 12,000 calvary, 10,000 were left behind in northern Spain tho after he defeated the Roman allies there, so they all didn't die of attrition.

You can cross it, but you take terrible attrition there until late in the game. Especially if it's ennemy territory. Late game though, with all the increased supply from mil tech, any place can be crossed by hudge armies, would it be desert, mountains or tundra...

That would also mean that historical invasions across the Himalayas (China and Tibet into Nepal and Bhutan for instance or the Nepalese Ghurkas invading Shigatse) would no longer be possible. The Mountains are already closed off in most places but the routes actually used by armies in the era are open.

What this person said.
Attrition, supply, movement speed, overseas reinforcement - then entire logistics part of warfare needs some love.
Then again I suspect much of this is courtesy to the a.i. *shrug*

I would prefer if they were not possible. Currently it is way too unpunishing if you cross the alps, himalayas, pyrenees or any other mountain ranges. You can be over with a 100k stack before the month ends thus avoiding any attrition. It was such a rare occurance in history that I think it would make more sense to have them be simply unpassable than seening every european nation crossing the alps in a war with italy.
