How can I transfer a duchy from one kingdom to another? I'm the king of England and Wales. Jarldom of Northumberland belongs to Wales and I want it to be part of England as it should be. How can I do it? In fact why the hell didn't it automatically become part of England when I revoked Wales?

Have you been a king of Wales before you created England? It seems that Northumberland did de jure shift to Wales... It happens when you hold a title and all of it's land for 100 years (by default)

The king of England was my first king title. I created Wales much later and gave it away as vice royalty when I already was an emperor. After some time the viceroy rebelled against me so I got him arrested and took away the title and somehow Northumberland was part of it.

Nobody huh???
It's not clear to me, but from what you're describing it actually just sounds like Northumberland was a de facto vassal of Wales, not de jure. You can check in the de jure kingdom view.

Anyway, de jure drift occurs when an entire duchy is controlled by a different kingdom than its "original" de jure kingdom. E.g. as the king of Sweden I control all 4 counties of Skane for 100 years, now Skane is de jure Sweden.

Though I'm actually not sure that works when both kingdoms are I'm the same empire.

Can you post a screenshot of it?

Damn it. I was about to do a screenshot of it but then I realized I accidentally deleted the save because it was Ironman!:(:(:(

It's not clear to me, but from what you're describing it actually just sounds like Northumberland was a de facto vassal of Wales, not de jure.

Yes, that's the case but I don't understand why it didn't switch back to England as soon as I became a holder of both titles.(Wales and England).
Northumberland is de jure part of England.(It wasn't part of Wales for 100 years that's for sure)

That was a real annoyance because I couldn't give Wales away as vice royalty without giving away Northumberland.

ps. I'm really upset right now I lost that save. It was a good game where I turned British Isles back to the old Gods by making my heir a Norse pagan. Had to go through couple of bloody civil wars! Lots of fun!

If you overwrote the save file there is no way to get it back right?

Could It be, that You had 1 Vassal with 2 Duchy-Titles ? - 1. One in Wales (Primary Title) and the 2. One was Northumberland in England ?

I'm pretty sure I checked all the vassal titles and didn't see any of that. From your experience do duchies automatically revert back to de jure kingdoms once you own both kingdoms - a kingdom they used to be part of and the de jure kingdom?

As someone has reported elsewhere, there might be an issue with de jure vassals of a usurped kingdom not being transferred with the usurped title.
It's conceivable something similar is happening here.

Though it seems more likely that a duke with their primary title being in Wales, either holds the duchy Northumberland themselves, of has acquired each of its countries as vassals/demesne.
