How can I seduce females?

Hi,
I just got CK2 and so far it's great. I wanted to have more children so I could marry them to other nobles, and I was wondering how seduction works in game (I'm playing as the (married) Duke of Swabia). I just have the base game with no expansions.

You need the Way of Life DLC to enable targeted character seduction via the Seduction Focus. Otherwise in vanilla you can pretty much only get some rare random seduction events for characters in your court/vicinity IIRC.

however if you sleep around you get herpes which makes seducing other women harder

I find it's easier to start young, give them candy bars and generally make them better disposed towards you. This is especially helpful if you're physically revolting.

As they grow up exchange candy to cigarettes and alcohol.

(You need seduction focus from Way of Life)

It's been hit soo hard with nerfs every patch its not even worth using anymore. You fail 90% of the time with courtiers in your own court.
But if you insist characters with many red traits especialy Lustful will increase your chances of success. Oh also hedonist.

I just thought Lover's Pox came automatically with seduction focus.

Choosing seduction focus is like worshipping a Chaos god. You gain a supernatural ability to appeal to the opposite sex, but you get cursed with the Lover's Pox.
