I'm playing Australia, I joined Japan in taking on China. After China capitulated Japan took every coastal province in the peace conference in the first turn. Even the one's I had fabricated claims on.

I got the inland provinces with 40 steel and bunch of other resources and factories. There is one problem however. In the resource map it shows all the new resources I acquired in red and says "Delivery Blocked".

How can I get these resources? I am already in a faction with the Japanese, surely I can use their ports to transfer the goods over? Is it possible at for me to get these resources? Is this an oversight or am I missing some sort of trade agreement in the diplomacy screen?

Yes I already have military access to neighbouring Japanese provinces prior to forming a faction with them. I thought either of those options would allow my trade convoys to transport the resources over Japanese ports back home. I checked the diplomacy options if there is anything else I missed but there is nothing else I can choose.

It is in their best interest as well since they already trade for 8 steel from me, allowing my resource gathering operations for ship 40 steel would allow them to trade for another 8 more steel from me.

You could try to trade provinces with your Ally to gain a corridor to the sea but I doubt they could be persuaded. You could try to fight your way to the sea through neutral and British territory, but the shortest route is likely to aim for Rangoon which may be quite some distance to cover.

I don't believe it is a bug. Seems more like a design decision or an oversight of trade mechanics... The only way to get a coastal region is through india or soviets now. I put that Australia game to rest even though it boosted my industry immensely. The absurdity that Japan was buying steel from me yet wouldn't allow me to transport more steel via trade so I will have more steel for them to buy just ruined the game atmosphere. Why would you gimp your ally's resources when you can buy more from them if they have increased output?
