How can I change the player's name?

Hello, guys.
My current name in the game is 'e??e??'. Is this name related to the paradox account name? How can I changed it?
I know there is a settings.txt file, but it won't work.

This should be your current Steam name.

Given that your name in the forum contains some japanese? glyphs i would guess that maybe the game has problems displaying east-Asian symbols.

Indeed, change your Steam username to something in regular latin alphabet... game doesn't support other alphabets in game.
