I have somehow ended up with the label "unmerged(3665)", which I certainly never chose, and which I feel is rather clumsy and undignified! Is there somewhere I can change this to a name I can relate to?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
That is because you have reconnected for the first time since they changed the forum and how accounts work.
There should be a merge between your Paradox account and your forum account. Once that is done, you should get back your former forum username.
Unfortunately, i don't quite remember, what the standard operating procedure is... @AndrewT , can you remind us, please?
All you should have to do is log out of here then back in again, and the merge should complete.
If not though, lodge a support ticket at paradox.zendesk.com with details of your old account if you recall, and we'll get you fixed up.

Many thanks to you both. I've opened a support ticket at paradox.zendesk.com, so hopefully it will soon be sorted. I did try logging out and in again, but the name stayed the same. This may be because I originally opened a Paradox account (with the first version of EU) in 2001, and I'm sure quite a lot has changed since then!

Make sure that the email you log in with are the same between your 2001 forum account and your Paradox account.
