How big will the new Imperator: Rome map be?

Hello!

I was just wondering if the new map will be bigger and encompass a larger part of Europe? EU: Rome cut off around Eastern-Germany and Scania. There is less information about the tribes to the north and east so expanding the map to the north and east might be an issue purely from the perspective of finding enough sources to place the tribes?

I think the size of the map is pretty fixed already, see:

Most of Scandinavia as well as parts of Russia are missing, but apart from that, Europe seems to be included completely. Other question is if all these territories will be settled by tribes at the start of the game.

The map will have 7000 cities in total. In comparison I got from the wiki that Europa universalis IV have 4360 provinces so in such case Imperator Rome have about two thirds bigger with each city have the same function as a province.

It doesn't give the map justice though - it goes from the Western Europe to as far as India. I think it's bigger than CK2's map was at release.

Correction, it is probably bigger than the CKII map is now.

Unless you go by holding instead of county.

Even with holdings CK2 has propably less than 7000. That would be 1000 provinces with 7 holdings. But the average holding number per province in CK2 is... 3/4?

I meant geographically. CK2 was limited to Europe. India and Eastern Persia were added much later on, and China is technically "present" but largely off the map itself.
