I was wondering, when I make a custom nation and play random nations. How are the AI pts decided? Say if I put it on easy well the AI get large nations also? Or is it completely random?

I posted this previously but cannot locate it so sorry if you answered.

We played on Very Hard and the AI nations appeared similar to when we played on normal. My guess is that they're the same and only your values are changed.

How super of super nations? I've had 3-4 in every game that I would consider super nations. China always seems to have at least one, but unfortunately it's big enough that it sometimes has two. I also had a Viborg that was basically Muscovy/Novgorod/part of Sweden that made me sad I was playing on the north of the Black Sea. Same game saw a Romagna(sp?) that had half of Italy, and somehow ended up with most of Hungary and part of the Balkans not long later. They turned out to be a lucky, but I don't know how much of that they started with vs possibly took shortly after start (would have had to have been in the first 10-20 years).

Not sure if those qualify like what you're seeing, but they've been pretty strong, especially those china nations. *shiver*

My best worst experience was a very bloated Armor.
The entire french region, the lowlands, half of spain and southern england.
It started with 97% trade power in the channel and 100% in bordeaux.
Scary stuff for my sweet little Canaries.

You should see Arumba's multiplayer game of EUIV, he ended up with a beast of a country next to him. Even if that country's NI were poor, the sheer amount and value of land made him the BBB of their game.

Well I remember the most recent one. Their was basically a formed Spain France and Great Britain and they all allied at the start A Super blob out east I couldnt totally see which was almost modern day Russia from my vision and their was a 30 stack on the border.

Ha I just formed a Scandinavia nation. And right below me their was basically a commonwealth and to the east Russia. Their starting force limit cap was 54 and 63 mine was 28.

After running into a few annoying massive starting blobs that make the game unfun and with the addition of a random button for Nation Ideas during custom nation creation, I've started to make my neighbors by hitting that random button a few times and then spend the rest of their points til they hit the point cap on land.
