Yea I just lost a war in my game against the Timurids when they rushed with two 70k stacks. I'm playing Britannia going for a world conquest. I have about 1200 fiefs, and field over 1 million levies (don't have the DLC for retinues) but I still lose the war for Persia when all they've taken is four counties and they get 100% warscore (when the contested area is like 20 counties). I think it's a little silly how fast they can win a war even against a massive power (I was able to bring 200k to bear on them from my Fatimid vassal but lost around 120k to attrition just getting them into position even though I split the stack and spread them out as best I could). They were attacked by one 70k stack while I'm about 75k in number and I still lost the battle even with defense bonus (though it was fairly close and I killed about 40k of the one stack). After the Timmies won that fight, they combined their decimated stack with their fresh one while I was grouping about another 100k (trying to keep them spread out to do a surround and converge maneuver on that last stack). I had a 20k unit that I snuck around retaking some bases but I couldn't keep pace with their stack that drops a fully upgraded and garrisoned castle in like 1 week.
Of course after I lost the war the Fatimid king moves his capital smack dab in the south-middle of Arabia in like a 18k supply province =\ (where before it was next door to the nice Tigris county that had a 50k supply limit). Still doesn't compare to my stupid King of Greece who somehow got a county in the bottom of the map in Africa and decided to move his capital (and the ~50k seaside levy he pulls) down there where it's practically worthless. Kind of tempting to just do the 'take control of character and move it myself' deal but that's kind of like cheating to me (might not even let me do that since it's supposed to be a once in a lifetime move)
Oh well, I'll be ready for round 2 next time I play and should be easier playing on the offensive where I won't lose as fast.
