How about that pause feature when founder species is being sold, huh?

Dear devs... how about we finally implement a game pause when we get that "founder species being sold on market" alert?

Or even better...how about we address the microsecond INSTANT purchase of slaves by the AI, rendering the slave market almost completely useless for the player?

Has it been enough time already with nobody looking at this?

I am also irked by the gameplay feeling of the slave market and the AI doing..well, what I would do if I could set up a standard order. Buying the instant they bought.

So uh...let me put in an order that buys whenever a robot is on sale, or whenever someone with X trait, or, well, I think you get the point. I pour resources into it, and get slaves bought when they go on the market.

I’m of the opinion - and made suggestions as well - that there should be a bidding system.

1) The slave seller puts the slave pop on the market.
2) the slave pop is put in an escrow for 1 month (or several). The seller can’t cancel, and buyer can’t just click and buy
3) the buyers bid, similar to the federation bidding system for leadership: click and add to the pot
4) at the end of the bidding period, highest bidder gets the slave pop

Would be much better

Nothing more frustrating that seeing your main species sold (sometime for no obvious reason) and not being able to purchase it back...

I had the same thought yesterday. I was thinking that the selling happens at the end of every month so everyone easily knows when they have to bid at the latest, no matter the slave. If a slave pop is put up for auction too late in the month, it will go up for sale the month after, so every pop gets roughly a month of bidding.

I believe the system can be quite simple, and I think it's important that it is. One more feature I'd like is to set-up notifications for species, and or automatic bidding. The automatic bidding would be like the monthly trades in the market where you set a max allowed price you wanna pay. But instead of a resource, it's a slave. It will automatically bid higher until that limit.

Yeah, I'd also like to see a month-long auction replace the current system. Plus the ability to set up automated bids so you can, for instance, bid up to 1000 energy on a pop with x traits.

This. Just make it an auction house. Hell, you can make it even simpler by having it close all sales every 3/6 months or something.
