Hi,

I realise this might be hard to implement, since it involves some major redesign, but still:

How about a production queu? Just so you don't have to order new divisions or new ships built every few weeks, if you want to compete with the massive number of AI troops.

Let the player place an order of, for example, 100 divisions and 20 battleships and let production start as the resources become available.

Sounds nice. :)

If this gets implemented, I'd like to have a checkbox to signify whether or not you are willing to loan money to produce the unit(s) or if the queue should wait till you have enough £'s in your pocket to build them.

An added complexity: If you don't have resources to build the first unit in the queue, you might still have enough to build units further down the list. What should be done then? Perhaps a checkbox for that as well; whether or not you want to build whatever you can or if you want to stick to the given orde rno matter what.

Ok, just how small numbers are you recruiting divisions in? When my country is on a scale where it can reasonably field hundreds of divisions, I typically recruit them 20 or 40 at a time, and having them arrive in bunches rather than dribbling in means that I spend less time on deploying them?

Don't get me wrong, I can see some merit in the suggestion, but I feel that I must be doing something very differently from you guys, since you are feeling it as such a chore.

Well, I don't consider this to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, hence "nice" instead of "excellent" ;)

There are different playing styles and I would guess that the need for this would depend greatly on what kind of country you're playing.

Also, in a prolonged war, you no longer will have large stores of supplies, but you still want to get units as soon as you can. Having it automated would then be a benefit.

Nothing beats sliced bread - I'm not even trying to approach that level of genius with my suggestion. :p

Obviously I could just build up the stockpiles, but some units are such resource hogs that there's still a lot of build-wait-build-wait'ing going on. The worst example is of course dreadnaughts with a destroyer escort. You can order 1 at a time - that's it. And that's what I would like to avoid.

Yes. You need to set the trade order to "buy<1000". By the time your economy is strong enough to handle recruitment on this scale, the incidental extra goods bought when you recruit using ALL your stockpiled resources are have a negligible impact on the economy.
