Houseglob: a reproduction of a general euro city

I'm doing this experiment (on the default islands map): I'll start with a tiny village with dirt roads and small houses and shops, and then this village will expand and modernize very slowly. Here are the screenshots of the first session:

'Houseglob'? Who did you hire for the marketing-- Oh, I see. You didn't. Carry on.

There's not much to comment on as of yet, but I'll be following this. I might make a CJ as well at some point, although I'm notorious for starting projects and then never finishing them (technically you can't 'finish' a C:SL game, but whatever).

I must say btw that that green rock texture is *not* growing on me! The more I see of it, the more I think it's only fit for 'Puketown' (I'm not sure which is worse, that or Houseglob ). --I'm sure you know this, but there's a terrain texture replacement mod out there that can really make a city look gorgeous! Perhaps a desert texture would go along nice with the dirt roads?
