Taking a look at the stats Austria doesnt seem that strong. He basically holds his cores plus a couple of few other provinces.

Its 1600 btw - Austria got some decent generals after that time, but Sweden got plenty of em and i bet OE got terrible manpower with all these lands.

Besides France-Austria combined arent that rich. Spain alone is richer.

Not only that, I'm sure England would have somehow been drawn into a larger conflict against France-Austria, if for nothing else than to seize French holdings in North America. I loaded up the save last night as England (after all, the game is dead ) and she is doing quite well with a couple cots in India and Japan. The sky would have been the limit. Even if England chose to stay out of the war physically it could have been an invaluable source of cash for backing other nations.

Cheap it is. And the game ended because a few certain people simply stopped showing up with no notice or reason.

I'm not blaming you. I just say that talk can be cheap but, unfortunately, there was no oportunity to keep playing. So, the only thing we can do now is talking.

Veneto was a trap. The risk I took by holding it'd have been covered by future benefits. My plan included a perfect symbiosis with the Netherlands (or England if i had no choice). No more details, I'll apply it in other campaigns.

I was unaware. Perhaps that notice was lost on me in the shuffle of the forum or in game chat. My apologies. At any rate BGW and Mungo quit with no warning so the game would have ended even if you were able to keep playing due to the lack of subs around here.

Uls, I certainly hope there will be more campaigns in the future. I remind you to alert me when another major, and serious, game starts up. I'll be lurking around here on the forums.

On a side note, I think I'll do my first AAR in the meantime. I'm still brainstorming on exactly what country I want to play, but I'll be doing the latest version of AGCEEP for sure. Toss me some ideas. Also, I know I can take screenshots using F11, but I can't seem to take them when an event pops up. Am I missing something here?
