I was wondering with the inclusion of the ruler designer DLC if it was possible to make that coat of arms your primary crest. Especially since a lot of the (historic or not) coat of arms in the game for kingdoms / duchies and counties aren't that great to look at (mainly referring to the CoAs that are just colours and stripes). I thought about just changing my current titles CoAs to that coat I want but it would be troublesome every new game I start / change primary title. There's the fact that if you could mod it in that your other dynasty members would use it, you could just set a clause that only the head of the dynasty can do it.

no, you can't. Imagine that a few characters of your dynasty ahve some others primary titles, everyone will share the seme coa on map, will not be really playable.

About coa made with colors and stripes it is indeed really accurate for the period which sees the beginnings of Coa appearing. A lot of less basic Coa are more recent, even after CK timeframe.

here are the most noble coa frames.
