I'm really curious to know what in heavens happened to the monarch leader code to have it CTD so much.
Short answer: Technical debt. The whole system is really old and unsafe, and when we fixed the various bugs related to monarch leaders turning into regular leaders etc it exposed the problems.
I'd guess it's a relic from the old EU3 times, then?
Technical debt - the worst kind of debt. It always jumps out at you when you need it least. I'll raise a glass to an easy solution for y'all (and us all too I guess).Short answer: Technical debt. That would be pretty good DLC material I think.New monarch system confirmed. Joking aside, I think the whole monarch and dynastic side of the game would be a good candidate to receive an overhaul.
I would imagine that the game doesn't keep track of how you got your AE, just how much you have.Any chance the vassal AE fix will correct the overblown AE in saved games? Or will I just have to let it burn off/start a new game?

Yeah, I figure I'm probably boned. I lucked into a France PU as Milan and took a couple French cores/claims from Burgundy (not even HRE provinces), now all of Central Europe is baying for my blood. Even more annoyingly, granting France their own claims has somehow racked up extensive AE with France itself...

I sure hope so!Compatible with .2 saves?
PU's get AE, they aren't like vassals. It's been like that for a few patches.
I can understand why a PU would get AE when I'm annexing provinces, but why would they get AE when I'm giving them provinces? Especially claims.
