I don't agree with that, that's the problem. I want it to stay paused until I explicitly unpause it, as was the behavior in all previous versions.

Ah, see, in CK2 it always seemed to work like if a notification paused the window, clicking it away would unpause, so I got into a habit of quickly pausing again after dismissing windows, or at least checking to see if I was still paused. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but that's my muscle memory, at least.

I don't disagree with your logic that a game when paused should explicitly wait for the player, I am saying that I feel as though I'm used to it already so it's unnoticeable to me.

Nope, in CK2 it also works as it has before in EU4. If you set the message to PAUSE, then it stays paused after you click the window closed.

Oh wait, I think I see what's going on -- you are saying that you've changed the pause behavior of the messages, but that's not taking, right? I normally don't even change the settings and use the defaults, so I was speaking from a perspective of what the defaults are.

Wiz I didn't see anything in the hotfix about rebels. Am I to assume that rebels are working as intended because it sure feels like it's ruined both games I've tried to play since release. I really don't want to play the game if I'm afraid of getting rebel spams larger than my force limit.
I think this line was just added to the patch notes :

- Reduced size of rebels somewhat in countries that don't have large forcelimits (huge empires still get the same amount as before).

Exactly. It's considered standard behavior since probably EU2, then 3, also Vicky 2, Rome, and all subsequent titles. Therefore, it is clearly a bug, and should be easy to fix, hence my question: Why hasn't it been included in this hotfix?

Wiz, it seems also that trust modifier was added to positive reasons to join in this hotfix. And this wasn't stated in the patch notes for hotfix. Am I right in assuming that trust-50 is added as positive reasons?
Also, I have a buggy distant war modifier. Portugal has -30 on France to join.

Events, yes, but it does not affect the other normal windows (i.e. when a diplo returns).

Tested it out, yeah you're right, that's pretty weird -- probably under most circumstances just tapping space should work, but that is really weird.

About game unpausing after events you can set it off in the options menu. At least it did the trick for me, only pauses/unpauses when I want.
Right, but the issue is with notification popups. If you set a notification to popup and pause, it will now unpause when you close the notification.
