Advice from experienced hosts please. I'm an MP newbie with just a few sessions. Last night I hosted for the first time, a Nappy session, which was fun.
1. Why does the host normally select first?
Last night someone else selected first, but it all seemed to go OK. But it seems to be one of the cardinal rules that nobdy selects before the host. Why?
2. Latency messages
I was not sure how to handle the latency message I got for one of the players.
Is this the normal/best procedure?
- Pause, message the one with latency, and wait for a reply
- With no reply, eject him from the game
- Message everyone
- Play to a convenient point, save and re-host
This is what I did. I think he had dropped out, but I don't think there is any way to be sure of this. Anything else or different that can or should be done?
