Why are the Seljuk troops hostile towards me? Tried reloading several times. I am not at war with the Seljuks, and they are not participating in any wars, so they are not allied to my enemy or in their own war with them. Why is this happening!?

I tried taking the battle just to make sure, and YES they participated in it against me. Why?

Hope someone has experienced something similar and knows the reason.

Edit, they are allied to the Abbasids against the ongoing crusade. But they haven't joined the war against me.

Looks like they're attached to Abbasids for whatever reason, and fight anyone fighting leading stack.

If I had to guess why, I'd say some old allied Seljuk attached the army, died, and successor hasn't bothered to disband or de-attach it.

They were at war when I declared holy war. A couple of months later the Seljuks reached 100% warscore and peaced out. So they haven't exactly been allied.

So my guess is wrong? Oh well. Anyway, the attachment should be reason for their hostility.

Edit: Wait, at war with each other?

Yes. But not when the screen was taken.

I think I found the bug. The Seljuks are allied with them against the crusaders, and have attached their army to fight off the crusaders, but they can apparently use them to fight me, even though they haven't joined that war. Is that a bug or intentional?

So it is attachment. And I was starting to doubt here.

It's known issue, attached troops are hostile to anything their leading unit is.
