So I have reached the point in this rare event where there has been a discovery on my home world of a pre-history Loop Temple which I must research in order to further the event chain.
Because I am playing Ironman and trying to earn some 'chievs whilst also RPing Humans, I don't really want to reach the endgame of this event chain just yet.
I have briefly read a few 'spoilers' because, as I said, I am RPing our glorious race and don't want them to turn into a race of xenophobic plants. But I do want to finish the chain eventually to get the achievement and also to see what happens.
There is no time limit on the 'investigate the loop temple' project in the situation log, all it says is it will take 7 months to complete, so I would like to leave it until the end-game and continue it then, but I also don't want to lose the opportunity to finish it.
TLDR: Can I leave this project indefinitely unresearched until the time comes that I want to continue it? Or will any factors cause it to dissapear?
