I agree, i have thrown a party and done a few missions recruited some specialists and my hope still goes to 0 quickly. Something @daynb has said you dont get any bonus for making living better, i have just got them into tenement and nothing. 10 seems to be just enough which is crazy, i am doing it so if i go over 10 i will over time the amount i have gone over by but ye it is well overkill and expensive!! Its 150 plastic per one so i have just put 1500 plastic on it. Just to try and counteract the agro system

Not only that but i now have 10 colonist manning them unable to do anything else because of how quick people get agro. Thats so much production that i am not getting because of the hope mechanic

Agreed 10 is insane, even with the mushrooms that come later and not sure they make enough of a difference. It is really easy to get into a cycle of them going nuts, rampaging and slow pop drain leading to a death cycle.

I am not playing any more with this expansion with it setup like that.

I can understand that tbh, its just not fun really.

And even now i have got it under control and can concentrate on playing it properly it has been very expensive and time consuming and my worry is now as my colony count increases the amount of agro people will increase meaning ill need to build yet another 10 trauma centres just to be ready for it and then another 10 after that. More and more resources, time and colonist being spent on it.

My only hope is that the devs are reading this and making a plan for a update to make it more fun and engaging. I have played 200 hours of this game and just feel the agro is so boring and there is no real way to control the hope. Killing your colonists for getting angry i mean its ridiculous

I agree with everything you say. I don't mind keep their hope up and their happeniess up also as different measuresments but there has to be a better way then 10 trama centers! Plus just size alone those things are HUGE. Heck it is much easier to cure broken bones, radation poisoning, etc in a much smaller medical center. Based on the size of the trama center and it being 1 worker and 1 patient what exactly are they doing in there!

I have just restarted and this time taken new alliance off so I can just play the shattered hope. going ok atm but the DLC hasn't kicked in yet :D looking at the release notes, it looks more fair though

I restarted when the update came out, left all the dlc turned on to see if it was manageable, playing at 75% hard so not too grueling and it is going really well, I have been able to manage everything with little issue, not one colonist has gone crazy and attack anyone and I am only running with one trauma center and the events center. I have finished the moon event and now working on getting my colony organized and Pretty happy with the changes. I am actually able to play the game and not just keep my attention on the hope bar lol. Hope it goes well for you too

I am playing it on 100% and its really alot better, the hope doesnt go down anywhere near as much and infact it fun trying to keep it up, I am using parts when it drops to low but i am noticing there are alot more things that bring hope up and I like the way they have attached it to your happiness it makes me want to build stuff to keep their happiness up which in turn keeps the hope up

Yes I love that they added that with the happiness, which is to me how it should be, they get happiness boosts with upgrades to their life it has to bring some hope too. I have found it pretty easy to keep it up too, I am now ready to move to the harder level with it. So glad it is going better for you and you can enjoy the game again
