That's an incredible map you have there. I'm guessing that you own most of the non-coloured area's that didn't start off muslim.
What's happened to the Rurikoviches so far, have they all fled to Novgorod?

I control the mass of Russia, as well as central Europe. I plan to break the Kingdom apart for MMP so that it is more fun to play. In 1300 the Rurikoviches are mostly princes under my rule. In 1140 they were mostly up in Novgorod, like you said. They will end up making most of my nobility.

NOOOOO! Keep it as it is... then, all of central Europe will be a similar culture, and you can go for Siberia/New World (just take Canarias) and ignore fighting other kingdoms. DON'T FRACTURE PRUSSIA!

Also, great AAR. Interesting premise.

Thanks for the enthusiasm, but I've already done mega-campaigns, and when longevity is key then you have to make sure you don't get bored with the game, and the best way to do that is to not win. As long as you have opponents that can actually stack up against you, you'll have a fun and interesting game.

I already have some ideas for what I want to go down in the Vicky section, which is about as far as I'll play...

Chapter Eleven: The Longest Year
Part 1

Prelude:
1136 is often regarded as the longest year for the young Prussia. The nation was wracked only with internal strife. Only at the end of the year did anything positive come the way of Prussia. In March Eadbert removed Aelle as Prince of Prussia and heir of the Kingdom. Instability followed in the form of nobility resistance to Eadbert’s decree, but by forcing Aelle out of the nation he kept civil war out of reason. But without Aelle, the military campaign in the south had stalled. Aelle’s absence also saw a rise in the power of Imela, Eadbert’s wife and as well with Gunvald’s presence in the court. Eadbert was certain that a major coup was avoided, and followed through with his word that Aelle would never step foot in Prussia ever again.

March 7th, 1136

“Banished?!” Imela asked, pretending to be surprised.

“Yes, I could see it in the troops at Kiev! They were loyal only to him; he was going to over throw all of us! I could see it!” Eadbert shouted.

“Where did you send him?”

“Denmark was the first destination, but I think he left for France, to fight in the wars.”

“That will keep him busy for some time, what about the nobles?”

“Unhappy, but they were probably in on it… Aelle was the star of their little comedy.”

“Kur ist Aelle?” Gunvald asked.

“He ist án normándjá.”

“Kápesh?”

“Nó wuldáp tháó sinik sieæt.”

“Please, Saxon only… I have enough people around me speaking in Russian and Greek and Lettish, what is this now?!” Eadbert paced back and forth. Despite the confidence he had shown earlier, he regretted ruining his relationship with his eldest son. Imela paused briefly and saw the sadness in him. “What am I going to do without my marshal during this war?”

“What about Aethelwulf?” Imela suggested. Aethelwulf was Eadbert’s third oldest son, and the only child from his second wife. Like Aelle, Aethelwulf was a powerful military tactician. But unlike Aelle he was a very private and mostly unknown. Moreover, Aethelwulf suffered from a speech impediment, and spoke only in a light whisper.

“Yes! Yes! Aethelwulf can give me the orders, and I can issue them! I shall be thought of as the greatest military mind ever!” Eadbert was much happier and called for Aethelwulf to be brought to him.

The young man walked into the room. He didn’t say anything but seemed to know what was going on. He beckoned his father closer and whispered into his ear.

“Father, what is it you wish?”

“Aethelwulf, I am making you marshal, we head to Kiev tomorrow.”

“Fine, let me tell my family and pack my travel cloak,” he left without a sound.

“Thank you Imela, this is truly the best for Prussia.”

“I live to serve, my lord.”

Unfortunetly Aelle dies in the crusade. I tracked him and his branch of the dynasty for a while after he was exiled.

He went to Denmark, and became marshal. Then the Crusades switched from Jerusalem to Burgos, and Denmark headed off to fight with Aelle at the lead (Martial score 20). Eventually they got a strong hold in the Basque country, but then were overwhelmed a few years later with Aelle still at the lead.

Afterwards, Denmark and Germany teamed up to liberate Catalonia, this is around 1145. Germany ends up liberating Barcelona, and holds onto it for about 100 years, even after the Muslims have pushed up to Paris. Denmark attempts to sack Zaragosa (sp?) and Aelle dies there.

Since Denmark already had a lot of suiters, Aelle's sons end up not marrying, so his branch died out rather quickly.

Chapter Eleven: The Longest Year
Part 2

Prelude:
Eadbert’s plan to lead the Prussian Army to victory under the shadow command of Aethelwulf proved to be a complete success. The Prussian nobility saw glorious victory after glorious victory and Aelle’s success began to fade. The campaign tired Aethelwulf greatly, and though Eadbert wanted to consume the entire region, the campaign was forced to end short. However, Prussia had gained a stronghold on the Black Sea: Morcargrad was founded in 1138. Eventually it would be the largest city in the region and a center of trade and culture. But with the end of the Southern Wars, a new set of wars seemed to approach, Poland’s new King, King Lázár was a descendent of both the Piast and Arapad dynasties. He was elected by the nobility despite his young age, but his charisma and martial skill compensated for it. But moreover, he pushed the idea of a Greater Poland, which included territory now under the control of Prussia.

May 12th, 1136

Memelbuhr’s pockets were lined with the gold of conquest. The people and nobles alike cheered the return of their triumphant King. Eadbert had skillfully manipulated those under him to appear even more skilled than Aelle as a commander. The large lie did not seem to move Eadbert at all; he had secured his place within the history of the Kingdom. Even so, his father’s footsteps still proved to be too big to fill to the King.

Pre-WarwithPoland.jpg

Prussia and Poland after the end of the Southern Wars, Lázár's proposed Greater Poland outlined in Green.

He returned to the castle with his wife and eventual heir, Gunvald. On his desk where scrolls and letters all awaiting his signature and approval. Imela had also collected news from throughout Europe. Eadbert’s return to the castle; however, meant that Gunvald’s lessons in Anglo-Prussian and Prussian history had to end and the Saxon and the Saxon history lessons began.

“Where is my oldest?” Eadbert asked.

“Headed into Iberia with the Danish. He converted to Catholicism, left his family, and will fight the Berbers.”

“He’s a fool.”

“He’s a man without a soul,” Imela said, genuinely sad.

“He’s a fool. What else is there?”

“Issues with Poland, you might want to pack Aethelwulf up again.”

“What is it?”

“King Lázár of the Polish Republic. He is claiming a ‘Greater Poland’ that included much of our territory. He threatens war and he is trying to gain the support of Germany. He wants to call a crusade against you.”

Eadbert was quiet. Aethelwulf entered the room, his hands were gently folded behind his back, and he remained in the heavy travel cloak.

“I hear we leave for Poland.”

“I am sorry, Aethelwulf.”

“I will need a tent, father. And I would like my family to come with us.”

“Of course.” Eadbert gazed at his son, who seemed ill, despite no sickness or cough. He was deathly pale, and his eyes seemed blind. Eadbert had never seen it before, but Aethelwulf had never been a child to enjoy the outdoors. “Son, what is wrong?”

“I am cursed father, I always had been. I must avoid the sun at all costs. Now, I need a few days to recover from the last campaign. I highly suggest letting this Lázár make the first mistake.”

The Eadbertian Era is closing I feel...
An Empire has been carved out of nothing, but how long will it last?
A nation held together by the war chief usually vanishes when the chief dies. Just like Österreich-Ungarn in the great war....

How big amount of population is angloprussian?

Eadbert's era is only beginning, he was pretty evil in the beginning, but eventually he gets a chance to redeem himself.

In the 1130's the main culture groups were:
Old Prussian
Lettish
Lithuanian
Russian
Polish
-----
Saxon
Prussian

Prussian's were a small minority at this time, but were mostly centered on Memelbuhr, while the Saxon minority was centered on Marienscír.

Hey, just here to say that I've played to 1327 and that I am on my last King. After he dies I shall end the CK portion and begin modding MMP to continue. The current King is Viskly, and he has eight sons, four of which get to become Kings of different nations.

The Leofricson Empire shall be divided into several parts, and I am thinking of using the Holy Roman Empire to represent the Leofricson Empire (seeing as Germany is muslim anyways).

The Kingdoms of the Empire are:
Prussia
Poland
Bohemia
Hungary
Byzantium

The Principalities are:
Hannover
Brandenburg
Meissen
Austria
Salzburg
Transylvania
Wallachia
Moldavia
Achaea
Istra
Moskovie
Novgorod
Azov
Ashtrakhan

My idea is that the King of Poland has died and Poland is under a Personal Union with Prussia.

There will be a transfer period between me finishing up the CK portion and me beginning the EUIII portion. Namely it will be several updates with information about the world at the start of the next portion. Obviously the world is radically different from the true time line.

There will be no catholic nations or provinces left in the beginning of EUIII, instead Catholicism will be split into three main groups.

Anyways, back to updates...

Seeing as one of those nations is Rome, I guess the Sacrum Imperium Romanum fits very well indeed. Are all the members Orthodox, because if so than most of Germany is orthodox, or did you vassalize/conquer Protestant Germany?

All the members are orthodox, but for many of the Principalities the people remain part of one of the catholics faiths. Brandenburg is Orthodox, and most of Northern and Central Germany is one of the ex-Catholic factions, but most of Germany is led by Muslims.

Edit: Also, just a head's up to the cryptophobic boards, Aethelwulf has porphyria. Nothing more.
